SpectCell is part of enterprise campus and it is located at BRT incubator ( Edinburgh Napier University ), University of Edinburgh , Centre of Regenerative Medicine (MRC) and Innovation Center at University of Edinburgh. Enterprise campus is also part-funded by the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council program for young entrepreneurs in Scotland. Spectcell is working with industrial partners such as Hamamatsu UK, Bonaccord, Scio Spec (Germany) and also seeking to collaborate with academics such as SMC taking benefits of their membership with the commercialisation (or technology transfer) office at the University of Edinburgh. Since that time, the University has successfully commercialised the world-class intellectual property (IP) it generates, with all the intellectual, social and economic benefits that flow from that. The University’s commercialisation arm, Edinburgh Research and Innovation (ERI), is well established as the leading technology transfer office in Scotland and one of the most successful in the UK.
